In spite of the potential offered by the sea energy resource, there are still no technological solutions on a world level which make it possible for its efficient capture.

With this principle in mind, Martifer Energy Systems created a Research and Development Group (R&D), with the objective of promoting a technology for the production of electrical energy from sea waves.

Consisting of a multidisciplinary team, R&D is carrying out the last tests, with the objective to start the construction of a device on a 1:1 scale. The main objective consists in designing equipment capable of overcoming the difficulties presented from the point of view of product engineering whilst presenting a competitive product to the renewable energies market.

In 2007 obtains the Certification of Management Systems of Research, Development and Innovation (RDI), according to norm NP 4457.
